Important announcement regarding tomorrows game

FA Trophy Statement from FC United of Manchester

The FA Trophy game against Witton is turning into bit of a challenge and both clubs are keen to get the match played as soon as possible.

We had hoped to be able to get the game played at Gigg Lane on Tuesday 5th November but the Gigg Lane pitch suffered a similar downpour to that which we witnessed at Radcliffe and after further consultation with the groundsman and a more detailed assessment of the forecasted weather conditions over the next 24 hours we have taken the decision to switch the game to Witton Albion’s ground.

We could wait until tomorrow for a decision but both clubs are conscious that we want to minimise further inconvenience to supporters after postponements and venue changes. The managers are happy with the decision and we hope supporters understand the rationale.

Due to the abandoned match on Saturday both clubs have agreed to reduce admission prices for the match to: £6 adults, £4 concessions and £2 under 18s.

Should the match be postponed tomorrow then we would look to reschedule the game for this Thursday 7th November at Witton.

Kick off 7.45pm by the way
