Irlam FC vs Witton Albion U21's Development Squad.

Witton’s U21’s play their second game of the season on Thursday night when they travel to Irlam FC in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. The new-look team under the guidance of new Head Coach Neil Murray, got their campaign of to a perfect start on Saturday by thrashing Widnes-based St Michael’s D.H.F.C by seven goals to one, a performance that pleased the management team from the moment the lads stepped onto the pitch. A performance of that magnitude and the way they went about it must surely give the team confidence going into this game, and striker Will Gatward will be full of confidence and looking to add to his four goals. Irlam have proved to be one of the stronger teams in the league over the past few years but have yet to start their league campaign and will undoubtedly pose a different set of problems for the Witton team. Pre season is now a thing of the past and the real business is underway. Kick off at The Ambitek Stadium is 7.45pm.
