It could be worse....

… you could be a Durham City fan!

Played 23, lost 23, 113 goals conceded (nearly 5 a game) and 14 scored.

Now they have been deducted six points and their manager banned for 15 games.

Not sure but I think they might go down this season!!!

Or even follow Chester City;
Unable to play Forest Green Rovers away as the players refused to board the bus as they haven’t been paid for three months
Unable to play Wrexham as Cheshire West Trading Standards have closed the Deva stadium on safety grounds (no policing because of unpaid bills)

Don’t get me started on Durham City!

This is all about due diligence and the Unibond League want stuffing for this situation, they had already showed there complete shambolic lack of organistion through the close season, when Newcastle Blue Star were counted as being in the Premier League, when EVERYONE who could read understood they wouldn’t be participating.

So they didn’t turn up at the AGM to the complete surprise of noone other than the League, and as a result the deadline day passed, one extra team lost their place in that level of the pyramid and the Premier League ran with one less club.

Durham have brought the league into disrepute, they were never likely to compete and it really is a joke, add to that the Kings Lynn situation and the whole league set up really is a laughing stock.

or even worse a northwich vics fan. nuff said

Unfortunately Cuddy it is endemic in the game today, three clubs in court during the week facing winding up orders including a premiership team. Until better rules over ownership are set and spending is linked to income this will continue to happen. Football clubs that are bankrolled by individuals (until they get bored) stop being ran on sensible business decisions.
