Just happened to be looking through BBC sport website - Gossip and Transfer news section from the past few days and saw that a couple of local team are bringing in players.
Tom Cahill [Rotherham - Altrincham] Loan
James Jennings [Macclesfield - Altrincham] Loan
Liam King [Rotherham - Altrincham] Loan
Ryan Toulson [Halifax - Altrincham] Loan
But it’s not just Alty:
Cayne Hanley [FC United - Northwich] Free
Joel Byrom [Clitheroe - Northwich] Free
Keith Barker [St Patrick’s Athletic - Northwich] Free
I don’t want to nit pick here but don’t you find it a little annoying that having been saved from going into administration and doing some kind of deal paying off the Tax man in instalments that they can now go and sign players on. Granted these guys are on a free but they still want paying and they still have n’t got rid of some of the other players put on the transfer list. So what I’m saying is the payroll must still be quite high. I appreciate the 4 guys involved with Northwich seem quite genuine in their desire to get Northwich going and Dino Maamria seems to be quite a good manager but if I was daft enough to be owed money by Northwich I’d find all this a little disconcerting.
It seems that if your a club that lives within its means you lose out while the spend spend get yourself in debt policy seems to come good. I suppose though that we’ll have to see whether Relegation comes to fruition for them at the end of the season. I can personally see them getting out of this as the other relegation haunted teams are not doing that well either!! Only time will tell but it would be enjoyable having the local derbies again if we went up and they came down.Lets make sure we go up and we’ll worry about the rest later!!

Tonight’s two results show that Vics have little chance of escape from the bottom four, Alty won and so did Weymouth and both against much higher placed teams. If you are wondering why I am interested in Vics plight I should explain, I am NOT a football fanatic, I prefer Rugby, but I am fanatical about three things in Football, Vics and Man United losing as often as possible and Witton winning as often as possible, other results have no interest to me at all, including the "so-called" England team that has another foreigner in charge.
WHS
Get yourself back down to WP and cheer yourself up!
As for wanting United to lose, OK we get lots of ABUs who support the scousers, leeds etc, but for someone who has no interest in professional football other than see United lose…sad indeed.
WHS is not on his or her own. I have no interest in pro football, too much money, big girls and posers, which is why I love the Albion.
I also am only interested in seeing Man U get beat.
Someone who watches the Albion has even allowed his little lad to become a United supporter (despite being a Spurs fan himself…). Borders on child cruelty if you ask me… ;D
