Good to see that Jim is still looking to make the squad stronger. I suppose it would be easy for him to sit back and relax but obviously that is not the case. E-I-E-I-E-I-O!
I see Dario is not happy with the Arabs because they promised to play Nick Farquasson and have’nt bothered with him. According to the Chronicle Dario is looking to find someone else to loan out Nick to as he wants him to have compettive games. So if we could get him in at the end of January for three months that would take him till the end of April so would be around for are run in. I’m sure Dario would be happy him coming to us. Just a thought if Jim wants a forward and he knows the set up.
While on the subject of the Arabs expect to now see loads of their supporters crawling out of the woodwork and start boasting about how they are destined for league football the year after next. The more realistic one’s and sensible one’s will keep quiet until the new consortium beds down to see how they perform. I find it incredulous that they are paying off the Tax man in instalments as well as paying wages, the tax bill thats accruing for this year, plus other debtors plus Mr Conman starting next year who will be taking his pension money off them in the form of rent. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad they’ve survived but its just the minority who will go over the top and start the ambitious talking that we all know is an impossibility unless they can conjour up another thousand or so fans from somewhere!!
Have just read on the Non league daily website that Eastwood Town were quoted £50,000 when enquiring about a striker in the Unibond League who isn’t even in the top 10 scorers chart, yet again begs the question just what is Warlow worth!!
I would say £50k and a big sell on percentage - that said you could argue that Adam’s role in helping our promotion could be worth £50k+ to the club next year. I don’t think the club or the player are looking at a January sale!
I hope we can keep hold of him, BUT if we can’t I hope we do a much better deal than we did with Shaun Whalley who we let go far too cheap in my opinion (based on the profit/loss on transfers given in the accounts)
Very true cuddles, Farquarson was direct but not much else, he certainly doesn’t appear to be a natural goalscorer.
Adam’s record speaks for itself. but Rod really has been a revelation this year. It looks like he’s really enjoying his football and he is certainly a loud, enthusiastic personalilty in the squad as was witnessed 1st hand by the lads who went to SJD the other week…
