John Terry

Come on Thatch we are talking about footballer’s here !

Quite! Footballers (thats the Premiership multi multi millionaires!!!)…decency…don’t quite go together, at least not a nasty little oik like JT!

I’m quite glad Terry has got the sack. I never wanted him to be England captain in the first place. When Capello took over I wanted Gerrard to be captain. I prefer his ‘lead from the front attitude’. He doesn’t get involved with the ref as much as Terry does. You rarely see him leading the charge towards the referee if any decision he doesn’t like is given, unlike Terry.

I would have preferred Gerrard to take over now, as opposed to Ferdinand, even though I am a United fan. Ferdinand’s style of captaincy is too close to Terry’s, even if he doesn’t run up to the ref as much as Terry.

I do still hope that Terry is at the World Cup, he is still one of our best defenders, but I am glad he will not be going as captain.

Well said Robbo.
That’s just bl**dy rude and completely (and ignorantly) missing the point of a forum.

And you should let Thomas fight his own battles!!

Apologies the ZZZZZZZ’s

Were in reference to the whole John Terry thing not to anyones posting, 50,000 kids die in Haiti - and this story about a footballers indiscretion gets total saturation in the media and even our website - ridiculous, pathetic and boring imo, and yes I know I don’t have to read it.

Never apologise on this forum Cuddy lad - they treat it as a sign of weakness and tread all over you - just ask WHS !

Whilst I accept that Haiti is a disaster, and probably does deserve more media coverage, this is a forum dedicated to a football team, not an earthquake relief team.

As this is a football related topic, and is quite appropriately in the ‘Other Teams’ section of the forum, this is deserving of a thread. And as most people on here are England football fans, something like this is bound to be discussed.

If you would rather talk about the 50,000 dead children in Haiti, then by all means start a thread, I’m sure no-one will stop you from doing that.

Also, if you know you don’t have to read this thread, then why bother, and then why bother posting something you know is likely to result in someone saying that to you?

You’re up early

Quite witty for a young git :silly:

Much as I have no time for John Terry this sets a bad precedent, it now seems that the gutter press can sack an England Captain. Who will they pick on next? Ferdinand has at least 4 convictions for drink driving or speeding, was banned for 9 months for missing a drug test and is currently banned for attacking a player on the pitch, Gerrard was caught on camera attacking someone in a night club and Rooney was involved with prostitutes at 16 years old

Cant wait for the press to get their hands on that lot. Next thing these papers will be urging us to " back the lads in South Africa! having done their best to ruin the morale of the entire squd

As i said earlier, had Terry done the decent thing and stepped down as captain when the story first broke then the press would have had little to write about. Instead he let the issue escalate. However, make no mistake, Capello made this decision not the press. If Capello still thought Terry was the right man for the job then he would not let the press influence him in that decision.

I think Capello has made his decision based on the fact that there will undoubtably be more dirty linen to be washed in public before this story dies down, on top of the fact that Terry is also accused of hiring out his private Wembley box at £4k a time (a box he was provided with as a perk of being England skipper).

I think John Terry faces an awkward few months. As England skipper the press would only heap more attention on him, and do England really need another media circus surrounding them in a World Cup year…

Anyway, i dont want to run the risk of boring Cuddys Stepovers so i will end there…

It’s not just Cuddy !

yeah but you dont count.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

But seriously though well said Robbo! JT resigns as captain, end of prob (apart from all the other nice lasses he’s paid off…alledgedly!!)

Wayne Rooney told Colleen that John Terry had bedded every England player’s wife apart from one.
Colleen said," Yeah, I bet it is posh spice, the stuck up cow. " !!!

Football coaches believe that JT has done nothing wrong - when the full-back leaves a hole then the centre-half comes round and fills it !
