Hi,
Huddersfield fan here, I am wondering if anyone knows whatever happened to Keith Mason, who played in goals for you? Does anyone now what he is up to now, or his current location?
we are trying to get a photo signed for my little lad of Keith when he played for Huddersfield and cant seem to trace him anywhere.
Just wondered if anyone out there know where he is working or where we would be able to contact him.
Dear town fan I home someone will be able to help you about Keith, I cannot i’m afraid the last i think I heard was that he was managing/running or involved in some way with a new Colne team. Good luck!
It was good to see him at WP last season for the presentations. Made me feel very old to see how old he was (no offence intended to anyone Keith’s age!)
Definitely the best keeper I ever saw at Witton though I was too young to see Mark Radcliffe who I also know!! Keith is an extremely nice and great guy who I always talk to when he visits. I know last time we spoke last season he was not involved in football at that moment but he lives in a village near Carlisle and loves it up there. He travels round the country selling plumbing supplies so often says he’ll drop into witton for amidweek game but the lad is obviously very busy. I know Chad will have his contact details becauase it was Chad that got him down for the legends do. I suppose what Chad would do is notify Keith with the Guy who is after him’s details then Keith could contact him as its a bit unfair to give out personal details just like that.
Nice memories though as Keith ws not just a great keeper but a real hero of mine as he’s such a nice guy. Another guy similar is Slim Jim Connor who spent a good half hour kicking a ball about with my lad one training night down Moss Farm. Mind you think Jim was fed up then as Mike Mackenzie was in charge!! Nice memories though of great players from our recent past!!

Thanks for the post MONA, hopefully Chad will be able to put Keith in touch with me.
definately the best witton goalkeeper in my 50 years of supporting the reds. he made some awesome saves and was able to distribute the ball to good effect. yes a really true witton great.
The best person to reply is our historian. However, we have to be careful about personal confidentialality. I am sur Chad will sort it out when he returns fron holiday.
I was speaking to a mate of mine Mick in Corfu the other week he said someone from Halifax would be contacting witton is it you? If it is and you speak to mick just remind him he owes me £100.00 I told him what vince would do to you guys and he wouldnt believe me.

Hi yorkshire red,
I’m afraid it wasn’t me who you were talking to at the Preston game, was on my jollies at the time! Probably missed the best game of the season!
The best goalkeeper non league has ever seen, I remember a game sitting on the railings (them were the days) against (if my memory serves me right) Runcorn when a certain Joe Connor then playing for the opposition (again if my memory is correct) went into a 50/50 with Keith and actually BROKE a bone in his neck, and he stayed on the pitch for the full rest of the game with a broken bone in his neck! LEGEND!
