I’ve just returned from holidaying in Barbados and was deeply saddened to hear that ex Witton stalwart - Big Lal Hilditch had died.<br><br>Lal was a most respected and well liked man and was a most valued friend of my father.<br><br>Always the practical joker and good goalkeeper in his younger days.<br><br>He lived for Witton Albion and was a Director for many years -before retiring to Spain and later Blackpool.<br><br>Witton could do with a few like Lal Hilditch now!<br><br>Lal, rest in peace mate.<br>
