Lancaster City v. Witton Albion(FA Challenge Cup First Qualifying Round)

Admission Prices confirmed as follows:

Adults: £12, Concessions(Over 65’s): £9, Students: £5, 12-17 Year Olds: £3.

Witton take a break from league action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Northern Premier League Premier Division Lancaster City in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup First Qualifying Round.

The Dolly Blues are in-form and currently sit in fourth place in the table but the cup has a habit of upsets and hopefully this can be one of them.

Witton will look to continue their cup run but will need to perform better than they did in the game at Runcorn Linnets on Bank Holiday Monday.

One positive from the game being Connor Hughes first goal since returning from injury.

Lancaster have been a bit of a bogey team in FA competitions for Witton as the two sides have met three times in the Cup and Trophy, the Dolly Blues winning on each occasion.

Witton will be hoping to address that in this game and at the very least, looking to bring them back to the U Lock It Stadium for the replay.

Tough to take, didn’t do enough to win but certainly deserved a draw.

Only one team played any football but it won’t show that in tomorrow’s papers.

Hopefully a full squad available next week for Jon to work with.

Yes that was tough to take as Charlie says. We played all the football, they were direct with long balls into the box.

We were well on top just before half time and but for there keeper saving a one to one with Hughes could have gone in at half time in front, but we are still missing the centre forward to hold up the ball.

Hopefully Pope will be back for next Saturday.

Is Pope injured ?
