Lancaster City vs Witton Albion(Doodson Cup).

Apparently, Lancaster are supplying live match updates on their twitter feed. Haven’t even seen any team news at this stage.

Yes all 3 outfield subs were already on but how does a goalkeeper get 2 yellow cards?!

It can;t happen very often.

Sorry Derek, that’s who I meant.

That’s ok, easy mistake when we’ve seen so many keepers this season. On another note, I can understand why Sully picked the team he did tonight but I still feel a bit disappointed that we didn’t progress after leading with that team. The manner of the defeat hurts a bit even though we are probably best out of the competition.

I’m wondering whether many clubs in the Premier Division particularly, take the competition seriously because judging by tonight’s attendances the fans certainly don’t. The highest crowd tonight was 237 for Warrington’s trip to Workington. We had 79, which was still more than there were at Flixton.

Sadly only the FA Trophy and Cup are taken seriously by most non-league clubs nowadays and then only because of the money. The Premier League Clubs treat the FA Cup and League Cup in the same way yet Cup football was the “Be all and end all” not too long ago. I still think we should try to win a cup but I do understand the Manager’s logic at the moment, all that matters is league points.
WHS.

League is important but why do we have to be rubbish In all cups ! :frowning:

Im pleased for Ryan Read making his full club debut and getting a goal.
Well done
