In the next couple of weeks the club will be launching a small free magazine called the wittoner which aims at raising awareness of the club and its activities around the area.
The will include articles on the coming season, mid cheshire college link, reserve team, commercial activities, fixtures etc.
As is fairly obvious we dont have alot of money to throw at a large mailshot campaign so we are looking for supporters to distribute in their own time by way of a maildrop or assist at co-ordinated times in town to hand out/place on cars etc.
This will be aproperly printed “brochure” and we hope it will highlight the fact that at least 1 team in town is looking at moving forward - which can only be done with everyones help.

I have just read the final proof which has gone to the printers of the “wittoner” and if it looks as good on paper as it does on pdf we are on to a winner! It is packed full off articles offers and news about the club which can only improve the local knowledge of the club.
We are due to have 5,000 yes 5,000 delivered by the time we play on Wednesday and need the volunteers and others to come forward to distribute them as soon as possible to allow maximum coverage ahead of the big kick on 21st August.
I’m looking for people to take 200 each if possible to distribute to houses and any businesses they can to spread the word.
Anyone who hasnt already contacted me please see me on Wednesday to get your copies.
No comments on here yet but plenty last night as to the quality of this production and a big thank you needs to go to the chairman for putting so much time and effort into it and to the people who wrote articles.
Staggeringly I gave out around 4,600 for distribution last night to around 30 volunteers which is an overwhelming response and can only help to spread the word about what we are trying to achieve at the club.
Sincere thanks to all who took leaflets last night - to those who have offered but werent there last night - we do have some left in the office which you can pick up on Saturday and spread the word.
Second everything thats been said. Took a copy into work today and some of my colleagues were impressed. Bit difficult though as I work in Chester now but at least its spreading the word about the Albion in what will be a partisan rivals environment!! Well done to all involved inthe production of “The Wittoner”.
Neil, I got rid of about 280 “Wittoners” on Gadbrook Park today (Friday), I also put a few in Northwich Infirmary.(There is never anything for fellas to read in there) Three went in Broken Cross and two in Rudheath Club. Here’s hoping they do some good, it is an excellent product and deserves to work.

Judging by the comments on the Other Lot’s forum, it has also drawn some (albeit grudgingly) admiration from the other side of the canal. Some of the comments compare their own inadequacy with the progress being made by the Albion. It all points to a momentum building within our club, that if we can keep it going and succeed on the pitch, will surely bring some rewards. Well done to all concerned. A great effort!
I do hope you are right C.J because if so we are going to have a great season because the club have earned it!! However I personally do believe in luck, I’ve had plenty I have not earned, whilst Witton seem to have had very little over the years.

Really good comments coming back on the Wittoner, its only a step in the right direction but comes after many positives and I hope many more to come, so I would encourage as many Wittoners as possible to offer help, financial support wehatever you can do to keep the momentum going, if you have friends who have lapsed tell them what is going on and try to get them down to a few games, some might stay around and thats how we grow more money = better players = more fans = more money =!! cmon wittern
