Full Time Score from F. Ball Community Stadium:

Leek Town 0 Witton Albion 1.

Excellent result in what appears to have been very difficult circumstances.

Albion manager Jon Macken also received a Yellow card in the game’s latter stages.

Great win.

A really memorable win that 10 out 10 for effort, Leek are a big well organised team but we play better football.

Referee was awful, a few bookings was all that game deserved but he overreacted to events rather than consider what happened.

Still a lot of work to do to reach the play offs but that’s a good 3 points won by a beauty of a free kick from Billington. Well done Witton. UTA

One of those afternoons that remind you why you’re a Witton fan.

Battling adversity to achieve a memorable win!

First half was pretty even, with our forward line getting not getting much change from their back four (particularly their big centre halves).

Second half we dug in well after Prince was sent off. A bit of a rash challenge, but not sure it warranted a red card.

Fantastic free kick by Sam Billington to give us our goal after Joe Duckworth was flattened.

After that the ref seemed to lose control of the game with numerous bookings that didn’t make sense.

MOM, probably between Ben Harrison who was rock solid at the back and Jim Lawrie who never stopped working and probing all afternoon.
