Witton travel to the Staffordshire Moorlands on Saturday afternoon when they take on Leek Town in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Last week’s home defeat to Trafford was a disappointment but didn’t cause too much damage in Albion’s quest for the play offs.
Leek currently sit second in the table, ten points behind leaders Macclesfield FC with a game in hand but their form on the road is better than at Harrison Park.
Four defeats on home soil has prevented them from getting closer to the top but one defeat in sixteen away games has been a massive bonus for them.
The reverse fixture at the U Lock It Stadium was a keenly contested encounter with Jordan Barrow giving Witton a first half time lead.
Tim Grice’s goal just after half time levelled the scores before Oliver Harrison headed the visitors in front with around twenty minutes left.
Witton pressed for an equaliser and would’ve secured a point, had it not been for the invention of former Albion goalkeeper Danny Roberts who denied Elliot Rokka in the dying minutes.
With games running out, Witton will be looking to keep the pressure on the teams above them and every point is crucial in their quest.
Leek is always a difficult place to go and will be a tough test but if Witton are at anything like their best then anything is possible.
Kick off at Harrison Park is 3pm.

A game to look forward to, will be tough to get a result, I’m hoping we revert to 4 3 3 not sure where injuries are at but Id like to see
Martin
Koral, Harrison, Huxley, Kennerly
Haywood, Barrow, Putnam
Rokka, Igoe, Lawrie
Assuming McGee Williams, Fogerty out could easily argue for a few other players in the 11!
At least we have a good bench to pick from. UTA
I think you mean Hitchcox.
Yes thanks Wheels I always do that lol. It must be in my head.
