Lincoln United Manager Seaumus Lawless has resigned his position at the club due to business issues. His company has been put under threat by one of his clients going into receivership and feels he has no alternative but to resign.
Everyone at the club is upset by the decision but fully respects family comes first.
Lawless resigned straight after last night’s victory over Shepshed Dynamo.
Chairman Chris Geeson moved quickly this morning and has appointed John Wilkinson as Manager.
Wilkinson said, “The Chairman said he had a short list of one and I was on it. To receive that sort of backing was too good to turn down.”
His back room staff will be announced shortly.
