Llandudno Junction 2 Witton Reserves 5

Just back from holiday, seen this result on Llandudnos website, Did anybody go ? any news on match / Scorers ??
Seems a great start for Jim and the boys
Can’t wait for season to start

reserves won easily on saturday…worst pitch ever it was like playing on concrete, with a few blades of grass it was horrid!

Witton went behind early on, due to failing to deal with a set piece properly, the ball wasn’t cleared properly they slid the ball across the box and slotted home.

We were on top at all times passing moving and setting the play. We were on level terms just before half time a corner from sniffer, was cleared to Rick Bailey 20 yards out his shot was flying in but Danny McNamara cheekily stuck his foot out, to nick a goal bound shot to claim as his own (Typical Macca)…

In the 2nd half we fell behind right from the kick off…pressure from their forward resulted in him nicking the ball a smashing home.

we pressured them from all angles…and it payed off we were awarded a pen which was saved well…
continued pressure from the flanks by mike mez and john west resulted in goals for Rick Bailey, Kenny Brady and The goal Theif Danny McNamara.
The icing on the cake was Kenny Brady’s Free Kick which was converted with whip and pace in off the post.

in 2 matches we have won 5-2 and drew 1-1 with Woodley Sports…

[smiley=banane.gif] [smiley=banane.gif] [smiley=banane.gif]
