I presume all our fixtures for November will be postponed with immediate effect?
Not been confirmed yet, but in the absence of any Tuesday night fixture for the Albion this week, it would seem likely.
Seem to recall the NPL league chairman (Mark Harris) announcing at the start of the season that the Northern Premier League (and the equivalent status leagues down South, I.e. the Isthmian and Southern leagues) wouldn’t want to continue whilst no spectators are permitted.
Can also envisage this latest four week National lockdown being further extended to include the Christmas and New Year period.
If that happened that would amount to 2 months fixtures cancelled and the loss of the key games and revenue over Xmas and New year. Not sure how many clubs will survive that
Might be that only those clubs that have a rich backer (for example South Shields?) or are prudently run (hopefully Witton Albion?) will survive.
Those clubs that rely on gate takings, and/or bar takings and/or a run in the FA Cup / FA Trophy, and aren’t beneficiaries of the National League / National Lottery support package, may well really struggle.
Reckon that there might well be more “Macclesfields” before the season is out.
Not unexpected…
Looks like no football for the Albion until December at the earliest.

All Northern Premier League fixtures will be suspended from Thursday, 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.
The situation regarding our Buildbase FA Challenge Trophy First Round tie against Bamber Bridge is unclear.
All Buildbase FA Challenge Trophy First Round ties have now also been postponed.
Our twice-postponed Cheshire Senior Cup First Round tie against Crewe Alexandra has also been postponed once again.
One for Derek, When we play the Mid-Cheshire & district cup against Winsford ( carried over from last season ) does Rob Hopley play for us or against us ?
Good question.
So if I understand the new lockdown rules correctly, teams in Tier 3 Can’t have spectators. So for teams in the NPL who are Tier 3 areas - will they resume playing or stay in lockdown?
If they stay in lockdown, can the NPL resume playing with some teams not able to fulfill fixtures? or will they play home fixtures in grounds in Tier 2 areas?
Seems we could end up with a very interrupted season, with some teams way behind in their fixtures, whatever happens it is going to be very messy.
Regarding the Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup competition this has been scrapped for this season.

No Graham, I meant we made it to the Final of the mid-ches cup & we should have played Winsford ! Rob Hopley was THEN our player, but now he is also registered with Winsford !, so who does he play for?
Probably neither as loan players dont normally play versus parent club.
