I hope I’m wrong but it could be embarassing England even turning up at the world cup next year. That’s if we get there of course

It will be REALLY embarrassing if we don’t make it to Brazil. We have too many foreigners in our game, both on and off the field. Time we imposed a quota. Oh I know we can’t stop members of the EU coming but we have players coming from all over the world to take the Sky money. How on earth are young lads from England going to get their chance when clubs find it cheaper and easier to get a Brazilian or African to enhance their chances and it’s not just in the Premier League, I think Pritch is looking at a player from Outer Timbucto!! (Only kidding, but you get my point?)

I hope players and officials in the next world cup are on their best behaviour - this incident in Brazil is beyond belief.

Crikey, that is worrying especially with the biggest tournament in the world being held over there next year. Good job that ref didn’t give a penalty, it could have turned really nasty…

Mind you, some refs we had last season according to some Witton fans, well…

Yes the refs at WP (and at the Central Ground previously!) have probably had their fair share of stick over the years! .veryangry But that event in Brazil is beyond belief and hopefully we will never see anything near that level of violence in this country. Its only a game kicking a bag of wind around at the end of the day!

Trouble is too many people think Bill Shankly was serious when he said “Football wasn’t a matter of life or death, it was more important than that”.
