Great result,well done everybody.
Gutted to have missed it, but roll on Saturday.
I know lots of you think Pritch should play but it shows how strong a squad we have when both he and Foster can be left on the bench.

As I said great result!..can’t help thinking it is just daft to say that it is “vitally important that stayaway supporters and floaters are encouraged to come”! It would be great if they did, or were, but “vitally important” no!
Sadly Mauler if the club is to progress it is VITAL the staways and the ones like me who are not there every week be persuaded to come, but at the same time it is VITAL that the hard core, like yourself keep the club going. I for one am grateful to everyone of you who make it possible for me to come along when I can to support a team that is doing quite well thanks in many ways to their efforts.

‘Daft’??? thanks for that MM. The word is informed and logical.
I maintain that it IS vitally important - our gates at their current level are stagnant, more support both numeric and vocal is essential. If we can’t attract any more interest/support for our next 2 games then do we take a different approach and accept that our support level is 250 or so and adjust our aims and ambitions accordingly?
Floaters - well we all know where they go eventually - and some go over the canal !
Stayaways - they say admission is too expensive for this league !
To be honest I have no problem with the price of admission but I do think that many people “jib” at paying £8 to watch this standard of football. It maybe worthwhile dropping the price for one home game to say £5 to see if the attendance goes up significantly, personally I doubt it would go up enough but it is worth a try.

It’s a shame but you just can’t force the stayaway floating types to come! Top of the league winning games, promotion, then they might come back. We are doing really well under the circumstances to be where we are with the 250 hardy faithful souls support (and a certain persons playing budget contributions, which are just amazing!) Come on the albs yes the next two Saturdays are massive, but we CAN win both games, and get those floaters back…Float, float on…
It’s true that you can’t force people to come and watch, but sometimes you speak to these lapsed Wittoners who will spend ages telling you that ‘this’ and ‘that’ needs to be done, but when you ask them when they last came to a game their answer is a few seasons ago.
Unfortunately progress starts and ends with people through the gates on a regular basis. The club’s primary source of income (and therefore improving the playing budget) is gate receipts. If we can sustain a challenge for promotion then one or two more should come out of the woodwork!
