great result well done lads, not seen any other results yet for our league…sounds like we were electric. [/b]
Great great great well done to all!!!
Dead chuffed for all those stalwart Wittoners who went and for all the other Wittoners who didn’t for one reason or another. It is the stalwarts who keep the club going so others like me can still go along when they can, full marks to them. Great result, I have never lost the belief that this team can win this league.
WHS.
Sheffield drew and Kidsgrove lost!! We could be top of the league???
Unfortunately not! However, we are now 3rd - level on points with Kidsgrove with a game in hand. Two points behind Sheffield who are our next opponents in the league at Wincham Park.
Incidentally, Witton are the only team in the top 4 who are not in league action next weekend.
Btw, didn’t get the information at the time but apparently Carl Ruffer’s goal was a penalty.
Excellent result lads, well done to all the players and fans who travelled.
Some good results for us elsewhere today as well, with Kidsgrove and Market Drayton both losing and the Rushall v. Sheffield game ending all square.
\\strong wind at our back first half, started off like a train and deserved to take an early 2 goal lead. Crisp passing football for the first 25 minutes and it wasn’t suprising that through sheer tenacity by Heler (I never thought I’d say that !) Got a third. 45 minutes superb play by him.
Second half against the wind Dynamo took the initiative and when they scored with a thundering shot Witton were on the back foot. For 15 minutes a second looked odds on. Albion then came back in the game. Lamb came on for Mac and with his first touch may have put the game out of sight but didn’t get enough of the ball. Foster came on and gained a penalty when the Dynamo keeper gave him a good kick at a corner.the referee had no option to show the keeper a red card. What led up to the keeper doing it is open to debate, for £10 to the players fund I will give my view, but it might cost Foster a ban, so less said. The resultant penalty was put away by Ruffer.
As the game dwindled to and end Dynamo scored. Points in the bag. Thanks to Loughborough, clean pleasant ground and cheerful people.
Thanks for the report ME, can’t make any sense of most of it but who cares, another 3 points and the trend of most clubs taking points off each other continues. Glapwell look like the team to keep an eye on at the moment. Incidently Matlock beat 3rd placed Ashton 5-0 today!
It sounds like a good day was had by all.Very pleased to read about Peter Helers last two performances,i liked the look of him from day one and in my book a clever footballer.
The Neville/Tandy double act must be the strongest in the league.Jamie is dictating games with his attacking play and can more than defend when called upon.
Stuart Rudd is worth his weight in gold.A 7 out of 10 player every week,in whatever of the two positions he plays.
A good barometer for how well a team is playing is by accidently forgetting other squad members.Jordan King is a prime example. One of Garys trusted soldiers and in posession of a very respectable footballers CV.
Once again the manager has the team primed for Trophy action.
I wonder if we could field the supporters team on Tuesday to avoid any injuries.
