Last minute defeat after a great but probably undeserved comeback.
Witton return to cup action on Saturday when they welcome AFC Liverpool in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup Preliminary Round with a 3pm kick off.
A poor night, leisure centre set up, poor pitch & lights not great.
LB were lively and aggressive with their no 10 ripping us many times! Their defence were overly physical but the ref let them get away with it .
Our midfield were not great and Bott was replaced at half time but not much better but Brazel added energy and won a few battles.
It’s a shame but our best midfield is probably Lawrie, Brazel and Harrop and we have not replaced Graham sadly.
We struggled with the 4 3 3 shape and only Garbutt looking good on the night, if they all put the effort in he did we would be fine.
Terry had a good game in the nets but we sorely missed the organisation Langley brings to the defence and 1 point out of 6 is not a great start!
