So 6 wins and 2 draws is not good enough to win manager of the month?
Not when Garforth get 7 wins and 1 draw.
I’m glad Pritch didn’t get it. It always seems to be a cursed award.
5 wins a draw for Garforth in March vs 6 wins 2 draws for Witton.
Makes no sense to me however well done to Garforth manager and let’s see what happens on Saturday, see if the curse strikes again

And a better goal difference I believe. I remember Andy Simpson chasing the league in October when Brian should have won it and they said there was no criteria.
Smells to me that Witton overlooked on purpose.
Sorry.
I just plucked those figures from another website without looking at them properly.
Andrew Simpson has just said on Twitter that Garforth’s points per game was superior to Witton’s during March, so perhaps that is what the League based their decision on.
April is the month when you want to win it, so lets hope for 7 wins
Pritch may have missed out on Manager of the Month, but the team have won the Fair Play Award for March.

Oh no.
Let’s also not forget that four of those six wins were away from home.
Hmmm. Let’s see. How can we judge which team, and therefore manager, should get the Manager of the Month award?
This may sound radical, but perhaps we could have some form of points system. I know it’s far fetched but what if you gave 3 points to each team for a win during the month and 1 point for a draw. Then, bear with me, the team that has gained the most points in that month is the winner. If there is a tie then why not have goal difference or goals scored as the tie-breaker? If one team has played more than another during that month then any extra points gained would be offset against the extra effort they’ve had to put in to play those extra games, so that shouldn’t matter. I know it sounds far fetched and radical, but I think it might just work you know!
There should be bonus points for when you are losing at half time and go on to win. After all, that’s when the manager earns his corn.
So you would reward a manager who is 1 nil down at HT, but goes on to win 2 - 1 more than a manager that wins 6 or 7 nil?
Perhaps bonus points for away wins, or beating teams above you rather than teams below you.
Yes, there’s definitely some fuzzy logic there.
What about a manger who was level at HT, went 1 nil down after 80 minutes, but then won 6 - 1?
Has he made “inspired” substitutions?
He’s already had a knighthood for it, now change the record.
If you need a substitute to win the game you didn’t pick the right team in the first place!
WHS
at least he is our manager of the month, and will be our manager of the season.
Think this is academics really as knowing Pritch he won’t be worried about Manager of the Month awards as long as the team is moving onward and upward. Lets not forget though the work that not only Pritch has done but the excellent support from Mose, Deels, The goalkeeping coach, Murph, and others like Ed Robinson and Yatesy and our new Physio!! In other words we have a great football management team who I think can take us forward over the next 5 years if we can support, encourage and help them. Long may they stick together because combined with our excellent officials the club can only go one way and thats up. The future looks rosy to me provided we hang on to our Management team both footballing and club wise. Our little club is so positive at the moment and its no coincidence that it contrasts so well with another club not a million miles away thats getting things wrong!!
Onward and upward with WITTON ALBION the Pride of Cheshire!!
