Down the A50 once more against the form team Mickleover Sports. They have got to lose sometime so it might as well be this saturday. If they let us play football the way we can then we are in with a good chance. Heler will be a big miss but Foster should be back ? Grundy got injured at Rushall as well.
On Saturday, Witton Albion travel to table toppers Mickleover Sports. Following a close victory over Rushall Olympic on Tuesday night, Witton will be buoyed going into the game in Derbyshire. Mickleover will provide a stern test, having not lost at home all season, indeed, the last time Mickleover dropped points at home was 30th September when they drew 3-3 against Willenhall Town.
Witton have won their last two games, whilst Mickleover have now won 15 games in a row. The last time the hosts did not collect all 3 points was when they lost 3-1 at Stamford on 14th November.

Mickleover Sports - Alex Steadman - 17 league, 22 total.
There is a more than a fair chance that the Cods will be Conference bound next season, currently at the top of the table with our other adversaries from Shropshire also in play-offs.
Agree saturday will be a hard game/test for us,if the team give 100%,and can win, it would boost team and supporters confidence, and hopefully it will be good for the run in.Even a draw would,nt be to bad a thing,if other teams around us drop points that would be a bonus too.Play offs are in sight.

Well my decision to write off Foster was correct but the loss of Ryan Broadhead is a big blow in our attempts to get out of this soul destroying excuse for a league. Let’s hope there are no more departures but I would not be surprised if there were not. We will now find out who the committed players are as we push for the play-offs.
Let’s have a big supporters turnout at Mickleover and show all concerned that we are up for it !
We’ll be there to support the Witton Albion team whoever wears the red and white, as long as they wear it with pride.
The departures of Broadhead and Foster add to our other woes but there’s loads of ability in our faithful players and we must keep on winning for Mike!
Still in Paris, back in England on Wednesday. Stunned about Broadhead and Foster, why would they leave? Off to Stade De France at 4-00 pm so will not be able to check today’s result until late tonight, hopefully a win to make Foster and Broadhead realise their mistake. How is their leaving affecting our Manager, he cannot be too happy.

good look to the lads on the pitch show foster and broadhead that they have made a mistake thought foster was contracted so im guesing Finley let him go :s
Well since I have no life at this time in the morning I thought I would bump this to the top again. Some of the banter is as terrible as ever but the preview of the game has a couple of good stats regarding our top goal scorer of the time. Couldn’t really find much outrage in this or other related topics regarding the departure of Foster but great fun to read back over the dross of the time, and people defending GF! So even you WHS seem shocked he went back then so where this moral high ground rubbish has come from is anyone’s guess! If its from the year Telford beat us get over it, he was always a thorn in our side, played for us and scored a few in last than in a season in a team not a patch on the current one and when he did score for Salford against us a couple of years ago he did not celebrate. So how about we all take a deep breath, calm down and see what happens.
He has cheated in the past on the field and he cleared off, like Kearney as soon as he got a better offer. The lads at Witton now give me the impression it is where they want to be, let’s face it several of them could earn more money elsewhere but they stay. Foster chose to go, his decision. Pritch thinks he will be a good signing and I bow to his greater football knowledge but I cannot hide the disgust I feel at the idea of him coming back, he is not the kind of player I like to see in a Red and White shirt.

I am old fashioned and proud of it, I want us to win the league but not at all costs, look where that attitude got Vics. He is a good player but he has the wrong kind of attitude for me. So no, I won’t change my mind if he scores 10 goals but I will come and watch still though I am not happy about it. I would much rather see a good young lad given his chance as we have been doing than bringing in mercenary players like Foster. But as I said it is the Manager whose job is on the line if we don’t win so I don’t blame Pritch for making this footballing decision.
