Went to watch the final of the Mid Cheshire cup final last night between Northwich and Congleton. It ended 3 - 3 with Vics winning on penalties. ( Supporting Congleton of course). Staggered that I had to pay £2 for parking but admission was only £5 so I suppose not to bad. Pitch was bone hard, hadn’t been watered for what seemed weeks.Grass was dying for some rain. Carnt think of any reason why they wouldn’t water it! Not taking anything away from Congleton as I enjoyed the game but Northwich were terrible. Flat back 4 with one of them having the turning circle of the Cunard! Couple of good forwards/mid field players but that was it. Unless things radically improve on the field they will be relegation fodder next season for sure. Had to wait 25 minutes for a bacon bap and refreshments appeared very low on stock. Supporters were not to happy to say the least. Hey Ho SBL
