Ok we can’t agree on the back four so what about the midfield?
Brown, Lloyd, Macca, Brodie, Peers, Dillon, Craven, (Kearney) any four from 8? ;D

Thanks Picko, we are going to be here for weeks now.
OK here goes;
Lloyd; Let’s get the easy one out of the way first. He would probably get into the midfield of any side up to and including conference level.
Brown; Up until he got injured he was arguably the player of the season so far.
Peers; Not proving to be too hard picking them just yet! Awesome when he is running at defenders.
MacPherson; This was the toughest choice but I think we need to add some grit to the midfield.
On the basis of the above I would be looking at Brown playing inside left, linking up with Brownhill making forward runs.
Very hard decision to drop Brodie (very hard) who has probably has the best first touch at the club and a great work ethic. The challenge is that from what I have seen at the moment Macca can sit a bit deeper and take care of the ugly stuff which allows Lloydy to make more forward runs. I also think Brown and Peers can swap sides with Brown always playing narrower and Peers hugging the line.
I have never been sure that we can play with two out and out wingers (as it leaves gaps in the middle) and therefore I would see Craven as a substitute for Peers when we are looking to change the balance of play or introduce a new threat!
Kearney is a great utility player for the bench as is Brodie. Not seen enough of Dillon (and if anything he is lacking experience at the moment) although he is another great prospect. I can’t help thinking that if he is on a contract then we should make sure he is playing by possibly loaning him out to the reserves for a few competitive games!
This for me is a much harder choice than the back four!
for the midfield i would definatly have to include brodie, probably best sighning this year.
Brodie, lloydy, brown and peersy. best four in the league.
peers is clearly one of the most talented players in the unibond with pure talent had remarkable performances last year continuing into this year, if any one needs to be included for us to win the league has to be marky peers.
Brown is allways there when you need him (not at the moment with his injury) he is excellent hard hitting tackler.
lloydy excellent set piece specialist when needed always there
Joe Connor, Andy Grimshaw, Stuart Anderson, Colin Rose.
Failing that; it depends on the opposition. Craven and Peers either side of Lloyd and Brown/Macpherson.
Agree with Robbo, Broadie must be in there
I think this is probably easier than the defence to sort out
Brodie - Brown - Lloyd - Peers
Hard to argue with Peers - Lloyd - Brown - Brodie
However, with Brown and Lloyd in the side we have bags of creativity and not always enough strength and height, hence my suggestion would be Macca tucking in behind Lloydy and Brown playing inside left or right with Peers hugging the opposite flank.
It will be interesting to see how well Macca does whilst Brown is out, this might help make the minds up over the next few weeks. Then of course there is Craven who we have not seen enough of yet.
Might we be reaching a stage where it becomes difficult to play Brown and Lloyd in the same side? I hope not as both are a joy to watch, although the Gerrard/Lampard debate has dominated England selections for months!!!
Have to say from the brief amount of witton matchews i have seen this season adn the vast amount of england matches i have seen gerrard and lampard play together, brown and lloyd actually play well together whereas gerrard and lampard quite simply dont! and this has been proven by the inclusipon of barry! so i think brown and loyd are good enough for the job and has to be peers, brown, lloyd, brodie for me
Brodie has not been anywhere effective in the last few as he was at the start of the season so i would say
Coo - Brown - Lloyd - Peers
I think we would be even more solid with Cav on the right and TS at right back
Have we signed another Coo then ?
No, but I had a brainwave you have to just roll with it ;D
Sorry Greenie - could not resist .
u were right about Kierney and Baras at the back tho
I just want to see our back 4 containing Ian Kearney as I think he’s class.
Agreed
