Weather permitting, Witton travel to Mossley AFC on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
The Lilywhites currently sit in seventh place in the table and will be looking to complete the double over Jon Macken’s team, following their 2-0 win at the U Lock It Stadium earlier in the season courtesy of goals from Andy Keogh & Jack Banister.
Witton extended their unbeaten run to five games on Tuesday night with a draw at Colne FC with Joe Duckworth finding the net early in the game but, couldn’t see the game through and had to settle for a point in difficult conditions.
Mossley managed by former Albion goalkeeper David Fish, are in the midst of a good run and have only suffered one defeat at home in the league this season when Leek Town won 2-0 back in early September.
Whilst the form of Witton striker Connor Hughes has been encouraging in recent games, Mossley also have a potential match-winner in Mason Fawns, who will need watching carefully.
Previous games against Mossley have proved eventful and this one, should it beat the weather could see another entertaining encounter.
Witton could have climbed into the top ten had they come away with a victory in midweek, and that will be their aim once again as they face another tough challenge.
