A quick turnaround for Witton’s Academy team as they visit Mossley in an ESP Football Academy Northern Division fixture, just seven days after the return fixture at Sandbach Community Football Centre last week which saw the Tameside club run out 2-0 winners. Witton will be hoping to arrest a disappointing run of results, which has seen them lose three on the run after a promising result on their return to action against Radcliffe FC. The game is being played at Seel Park with a 12pm kick off and will be played behind closed doors due to the current Covid restrictions.

Albion slumped to another defeat in the ESP Football Academy at Mossley on Thursday. The damage was already done by half time as the students found themselves 5-1 down as the Tamesiders completed the double.
Five goals inside the opening half hour, including a hat-trick from Alieu Bass took the game away from Witton although striker Keegan Porter pulled a goal back on 34 minutes. A better second half for Witton saw the hosts add two further goals but the game was already beyond us by then.
Mossley Scorers: Alieu Bass 3, Cheick Doumbouya 2, Sarwah Karbah, Isaac Lopes.
Witton Albion Scorer: Keegan Porter.
Witton have two games remaining in the Northern Division - both away from home at Brighouse Town & Radcliffe FC.
