That is a blow !

Monday’s game against Warrington is ON as they won at Bootle.

We just weren’t good enough.

After such a result its sometimes wise to leave it a day or so to post anything on here, but the stark truth is No FA cup run again .
Im not going to make assumptions as to why, or compare with Congleton last year as I wasn’t at that game. But today we failed.
We had chances but no cutting edge , .I think this game has come too early for this squad ,but we all knew it was coming.as we are at this stage every season. Supporters turned up in numbers great vocal support .
Im not going to criticize, as there was effort there, but overall as a team we have got to do better than this.

Spot on TWSfooty no need for knee jerk reactions - not at the game so cannot commment but this was a really important game and given Mossley’s start to the season we should have achieved at least a draw.

Take it we have an open date now on 11th September ?

The proverbial game of 2 halves - unfortunately for us they scored in the first half going down the slope and with the wind and rain at their backs and in the second half we ddn’t despite some great chances. Their second goal was a bit of a joke with the ref over ruling the liner on an offside decision late in the game, but in the end it made no difference to the result. The key moment in the game for me was Parkinson going off injured leaving us playing the last 20mins or so with 10 men.

I don’t think there will be anyone in the club that isn’t gutted about the result, but no comparison to last year when we caved in without a fight. Great support too - about half the gate being Albion fans.It shows with a bit of good luck and the team playing well supporters will turn out.

I am sure the manager can see what we can see and will do something to sort the issues out, but it still hurts none the less
