Nantwich Town vs Witton Albion

Witton’s festive programme doesn’t get any easier when they begin the new year with a trip to leaders Nantwich Town in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Twelve months ago, we made a similar trip to the then leaders Altrincham and what a tremendous day that turned out to be. The Dabbers are enjoying an excellent season so far and are in the middle of a good run of form, having won six of their last eight games but face a Witton team who have been very good travellers in recent weeks, losing only once in the last half dozen away trips. The last two games have seen Albion put in decent performances but come away empty-handed from a run of fixtures that would test most teams but they can go into the latest challenge with confidence. Having already beaten Nantwich in the reverse fixture at Wincham Park back in August, they will be looking to complete the double over the Dabbers and are more than capable of doing so if they are at their best. Games between the two have proved eventful in previous seasons and there is no reason to suggest that the latest encounter will be any different. Kick off at The Weaver Stadium is 3pm.

New year new start with hopefully 3 points, the tough games never end, just hope River Humphries is fit ! if yes I would go with same team set up as versus Farsley but put Gards at right back, River at centre-half and if Mckenna is now fit then He could come in for Booth a bit harsh but needed. Good luck lads in 2019 UTA
