If he was, then surely Nantwich Town would need permission to talk to our player?
All the more reason we need the budget for next season sorted out sooner than later, and also some sort of management in place to talk to (and try and keep) our better players. I can understand Nigels predicament in not being able to commit to being the No 1, but could he do this role whilst we try and sort out a replacement for Jim? I think this also re-affirms opinion that whoever the new manager is, they must agree to the job with Nige as assistant!
Maybe we’re letting them talk to Macca in return for talking to their manager?..
Unlikely that Steve Davis would move away from a well supported club with new stadium and a reasonable squad, to Witton knowing that the squad are likely to splinter following the departure of Vince.
Already rumours abound about Warlow / Peers to Fleetwood, Brownhill to Altrincham, Macca to Nantwich / Eastwood and Brodie to Buxton.
But as previously mentioned all must command a fee, plus I would guess a new manager would want to bring a couple of new faces of his own in anyway so maybe Witton seem a good move for someone at this time
