According to Facebook Neil Harvey has left after accepting an offer from another evostik club !
If true then that’s another big blow - just about our top scorer, the only striker likely to get a header in on goal, holds the ball up well. Oh dear, not looking good at the moment.
WTF whose next to leave ,not looking good this
So do we go with Scott & Titch who played well at the end of last season But not scoring this season Or do we give Mike Koral a chance don’t think he was on the bench Saturday ! Or the other options would be to bring in a new striker From Sully’s contacts Or if possible is Dave Walker anywhere fit he was scheduled to be fit for October ? Sully’s headache just got worse !
One thing we don’t want or need in the current situation is players who don’t want to be here.
With that in mind, if Neil has found himself another club which we would prefer to play for, then I wish Neil well and thank him for his efforts so far this season.
In all fairness, the team he joined in the summer had very different objectives and personnel to the one which he leaves behind.
I’m sure the vast majority of clubs at this level would snap your hand off if you offered them a front two of Titch and Bakkor.
Agree with that Robbo, I just hope Scott and Titch can start scoring they perhaps need to play closer together and be a threat in and around the box together too often Scott is out on the wings trying to create stuff as you say both very good players.
While we do need to score goals the first priority has got to be to stop giving goals away and to do that we need a top class central defender and a top class goal keeper as a priority. Our present keeper seems okay but I would like to see Cooper back.
WHS.
Whilst we do need a top class center half and keeper how we going to pay for them with all the budget cuts going on, as I said before who will be leaving next
Is Harvey leaving another wage budget cut? I can’t see Titch and Bakkor working together at the moment if I am honest, Titch is devoid of something whether it’s confidence or fitness he just isn’t the same player!
Hope that Sullivan can bring in a few new faces to kick start our season, whatever he does I will be 110% behind it!
Jonny Neil Harvey left after another club made a 7 day approach on him. It was his decision to accept that offer and move on, not the clubs.
110% does not exist, rather like our hopes of winning the league!! The wage we save on Harvey should be spent on a centre half and or on a goalkeeper. Just my opinion.
Still don’t think Harvey will be the last to leave and also it’s not the last of the wage/budget cuts
Noodle We are near the bottom of the league and have a new manager so players leaving and new arrivals are to be expected, we were told the budget deficit has now been corrected and I guess unless gates drop even further they will give the new manager a chance to turn this around, It seems our club captain and centre back Sam Barnes is fit again so a new centre half may not be required, we might need a decent keeper if East does not prove adequate until Ryan Swift is fit again- I for one would not like Cooper back just too many mistakes, so maybe there are funds for a striker, I’m 120 percent sure the manager will be trying his best to sort us out.
I’d agree with that WHS. Budget permitting I’d also like to see a central midfielder scrapper, someone in the Olly James mould. We need to start winning, if its winning ugly for a while sobeit.
I am “100”% behind our new manager and the board and that is all they are getting!!!
WHS.
A fit Ollie James would be perfect to pull us out of this malaise, not a captain but a great example of how to play for the team He was superb in out promotion season
