Save going into the attic and rooting out old Albion Reviews can CHAD or anyone give any details of Neville Jones playing for Witton. He is a mate of Mickey Roberts I believe so he could have played at the same time.

Happy to help but the Neville Jones records I have show him playing as a 19 year old amateur and wearing the No.8 shirt between 28.8.56 & 6.10.56. He made 7 Cheshire League appearances, scoring against Mossley & Chester Reserves and 1 F.A.Cup appearance v Buxton.
I’ve no other info on him so if you can supply anything further, especially a photo then I can give him a full entry in my Albion Who’s Who.
There was also a Neville Jones born in 1929 and ex Colwyn Bay & Wrexham who at first I thought was the one that played for the Albion alongside Archie Elsby, Keith Higgins etc in 1956 but the age don’t tie up.
In relation to Micky Roberts well he was with us for 2 complete seasons between 1971 & 1973 and the only Jones I have around that time were Keith & Kevin
