Witton Albion FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Clodagh Buckley to the Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Chairman Mark Harris had this to say about the off-field signing: "We’ve been in discussions with Clodagh for some time, and I’m delighted that she has finally made the decision to join us, and she will assume the role of Business Development Director, complementing the work currently being undertaken by Graham Pickering, our commercial director.
“Like every other club, sponsorship is paramount, and this will be her prime responsibility.”
Clodagh has over 20 years experience across both sales and marketing gained at companies such as Aer Lingus and Virgin Trains where as sales manager she brought in significant new business from a host of blue chip companies.
Following her appointment, Clodagh said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of Witton Albion FC as Business Development Director. My aim is to raise the profile of this great club mainly amongst national and regional companies wishing to support grassroots football and to build on the excellent work which is already being undertaken to increase levels of sponsorship in the club.”
Her passion for football features heavily in her life and indeed her most recent project at Manchester Marketing ensured host city status for Manchester as part of England’s 2018 FIFA World Cup bid.
