If he has played for Hucknall, he should have had a lot of practice
He was the Sub Keeper for Hucknall against us last season.
Hucknall Town 1 - 1 Witton Albion
A full blooded cup tie ended all square, with the sides heading back to Witton for a replay on Tuesday night. Eric Graves had returned to Gainsborough and Dan Macpherson was cup tied forcing David Lloyd into changes.
Witton applied all the early pressure, and Hucknall did well to keep them at bay. In the 12th minute a corner was only half cleared, and in the ensuing scramble Witton had 3 chances to put the ball home, but they were all blocked by the Hucknall defence.
Having stemmed the tide, Hucknall worked some good chances for themselves, James Cullingworth was set free down the right, and his cross saw Danny Bacon hit the ball against the bar. Town should have taken the lead in th 36th minute, again Cullingworth did well on the right, his cross reaching Ben Kistell at the back post, but with plenty of time to spare he blazed over the bar from 8 yards out.
Hucknall did take the lead on the stroke of half time, a long throw was only half cleared, and as the loose ball landed, Danny Mayman hit the ball hard and low into the corner of the net from 25 yards.
HT Hucknall 1 Witton 0
Witton were almost back on level terms in the 49th minute, a good break down the right ended with a cross shot by Dave Macpherson, but he could only look on as his shot hit the inside of the post and went back across goal and out for a goal kick.
The game was however all square on 55 minutes. A long ball down the middle was chased by a Witton player, and Arran Reid raced out and body checked the attacker, giving the referee not option but to award a spot kick, and show Reid a red card. Mark Peers calmly slotted the spot kick home, sending sub keeper Greg Smith the wrong way.
On 63 minute a great cross from the right by Alisatair Asher was met with a curling header by Ian Robinson, but Kennedy in the Witton goal managed to get a finger tip to the ball and send it over the bar.
Both sides went close as the game reached it's final stages, Greg Smith pulling off a good double save as Hucknall struggled to clear the ball, and then Kennedy doing well to palm away a cross shot by Matthew Thorpe.

welcome to wincham park greg. i hope you enjoy your stay.
Looks a very good replacement for JK.
If you ‘google’ Greg and read some of the match reports from various games there are many many positive reports on his performances. In fairness he kept Hucknall in the game for the last 20+ minutes when we played at their place.
Welcome to Witton Greg.
Looks like a good, solid replacement for JK. Welcome to Wincham park Greg.
