New manager at Northwich Vics...

Former Lewes FC manager Steve King (!)

<>

These Irish fellas must be paying him a few quid, to get him to come up North.

anyone noticed how close is eyes are.:stuck_out_tongue:

I’d say they were shut taking that job on. Ah well probably there on a week to week contract…should be in post say 2 weeks most…any advance?

seems he may be able to provide more!

King recalled the events that would ultimately lead to his shock departure from the club.(Lewes)

"They (the Board) approached me about three months before the end of the season and said they needed some backers to come in, and did I know anybody. I knew someone who would be interested but he wasn’t interested in just coming into the club but more about taking the club over. That didn’t meet what they wanted and they rejected it. There was no bad blood between me and the Board about that. It was their decision. They just didn’t feel it had the kind of structure that they wanted.

ignore the above, it was a film i made about the vics job but its not working!!

As of today, Bradford ( Park Avenue ) AFC have terminated the contract of Carl Ruffer as Player/ Assistant Manager and swiftly appointed Mike Marsh as the new Assistant Manager and First Team Coach with effect, im sure you will all agree that this is a massive step forward for the club to be able to attract a man of Mike`s ability and wealth of experiance to move the club in the right direction.

Lewes have been put up for sale, with the Sussex club’s debts thought to be tens of thousands of pounds.

Following their surprise promotion to the Blue Square Premier in the summer, they sacked manager Steve King and released most of his squad.

A statement read: “Although prudent budgets were set, circumstances have led the club to review the position.”

Fan Lee Cobb, who led a consortium in the summer, told BBC Southern Counties Radio: “An offer still stands.”

Their bid originally centred around bringing back King, but he has just taken a job at relegation rivals Northwich Victoria.

Cobb admits this makes it a bit harder.

“The main member is a good friend of Steve,” he said. "And, in a way, he was doing it to help Steve out.

“We do still have other members who have finances available, but not to the extent that we had before.”

i wonder if King’s friend will be following him to Northwich now??

I would have thought, Robbo, theres more chance of King leaving the vics to return down south, he is dont forget a non contract manager and we all know how that works.

Stu

Surely they cant lose a 3rd manager before xmas!!:stuck_out_tongue:
