Following prior Cheshire FA approval, the Mid-Cheshire League have changed their title to the Cheshire Association League, sponsored by Cheshire Building Society.
The name change, the first since the league’s foundation in 1948, follows the admission of a number of clubs from outside a radius of 25 miles from Northwich as stipulated in the constitution.
The size of both divisions was increased at the league’s annual constitution meeting from sixteen to seventeen teams giving thirty-two fixtures in each and a record number of 34 teams will take part in the 2007/08 season beginning on Saturday, August 18th. There will be a further fifteen teams in the reserve division.
The constitution of the divisions will be:

Division Two: Billinge, Broadheath Central, Club AZ, Congleton Town Res, Crewe FC, Daten, Eagle Sports, FC of Manchester United Res, Golborne Sports, Grappenhall Sports, Lostock Gralam, Maine Road Res, Malpas, Monk Sports, Tarporley Victoria, Warrington Town Res, Whitchurch Alport.
