new players

so our manager has been with with us for nearly a fortnight and who has he brought in,nobody but how many have left?the start of his managerial tenure has a bit of deja vu about it.if thats the case our next win will be mid january.

To be fair to Carl, when your first task is to get £400 off the wage budget you’re hardly going to be improving the team are you!

I understand that figure will now be £500 due to the trophy exit.

Sully’s first task last season was to get £600 off the budget.

Tough ask.

We seem to be having little trouble getting 4 or 500 off the attendance .

I think what we do is set a core budget for the season and then build up on that from other income sources when we exit cups early then that limits our over spend so we have to re adjust or we go further into the red so its easy to criticise and I understand why ! but the board have to be prudent sad as it is and set appropriate budgets I bet we still have a decent budget for this level though and given some of the high earners have gone or going it wont be too hard to refocus on the team. Of course fans staying away for whatever reason eg - dont like the chairman, dont like the board, dont like the club, dont like Gards, dont like Vics ground sharing etc etc also hits the team/budget hard so one answer is to look forward and everyone support the club as much as you can that would help for sure.

Tough ask.[/quote]Great management that is…NOT. Give a manager who is quite clearly out of his depth a healthy budget to get us straight back up out of this league. He wastes that budget bringing in sub standard players which leads to an inevitable run of poor results, he gets sacked and we bring in a man on a reduced budget to get us out of trouble. Absolutely fed up of the whole debacle.

this is a new players thread, what new players bangwall

There must be an awful lot of “monkeys” playing at this level then…OR could there be an awful lot of semi professional football players willing to play for very little…

There has to be better players out there than we currently have, surely? I don’t think we will see Mr Powell again after Saturday’s episode. This time next week we’ll have five new players on board and 3 points under our belts. Let’s keep the faith UTA

I don’t know what the players are on at this level however I would imagine that the contracted players are on the most so with Baker, G Roberts and Cropper gone that should free some cash up to invest in ‘better’ players. I should imagine the rest of the contracted players were on the higher end of the payscale too Chadwick, Gards, I don’t know if Andrews Titch and Lycett are on contract, I would have thought so

What we need is another Nigel Cleghorn.
WHS.

even at his age now he’d be fantastic compared to what we’ve got. He was a great player and we always looked good whenever he played. Probably not the best man manager though but they were happy days with Nigel what a left foot he had!!
Can’t quite understand this budget malarkey. We’ve had absolute garbage performances this season and now we are about to reduce the budget!! We’ve got the deal with NetDEC, we’ve got the Vics money, and the Social club doing fantastic thanks to Noel. This season is mirror imaging last season remember Runcorn Town away?? I fear the worst!!

He has now been in post for approaching 3 weeks and in the meantime we continue to plummet???
