Yes agreed if we want to move forward we need a few players to freshen the team and inject some much needed pace. what positions are you thinking off ? for me I would like to see a more dominant keeper, a pacy centre back, a winger and a striker we are not scoring enough and we concede too easily !!
I suppose it depends on how Carl ultimately wants to set up the team we could need more or less depending on his view on this !
We will be ok if we get everyone fit and could finish mid table playing a 5-3-2 or 4-3-3 but not enough options/quality to go 4-4-2 effectively, so to really improve and challenge we do need some signings- Shaw Lane have ripped apart the team that won promotion to be challenging again !
UTA
Shaw Lane have a man with a bucket full of money to finance the playing staff, we don’t. I still think what we have with a couple of wins under their belts are more than good enough to get us a playoff place, or at least a place in the top half. It is where we go from there that bothers me. Gates of less than 300 are never going to fund a league winning team. How we get more through the gates I have simply no idea, perhaps we could hire a couple of Sheep Dogs and round more people up! Or failing that anyone know a bored Millionaire?

We increased our budget by 30% and we havent got value for it yet ! so its not all about budgets, changing 3-4 players (not necessarily adding to the squad) might do it to give us much needed balance to the squad. We all know we have budget constraints.
It doesn’t help when the club announces a signing to get fans interest up only to hear absolutely nothing about him thereafter. The club was outstanding last season both on and off the pitch and I do hope we are not going back down the eras of Dundas and Sullivan when a lot of utter nonsense was coming out of the club. We recovered well from that.
If we sign a player the fans deserve to know at the very least 1) when he is expected to start his witton career and 2) if he is not playing/involved, why he isn’t. How much of our additional budget has been swallowed up by the signing of Freddy Champion? WTF is going on here why would new people turn up to Wincham Park to see an improved Witton team if they are more likely to see Elvis knocking about in Tesco’s?
People have been moaning about gates recently, one thing for certain is that we are not going to attract any new people to the club with PR like this. I am not having a rant this is just basic common sense surely. UTA
I agree the clubs gone backward need at least three quality players where from I don’t know manager and chairman’s job for that . This season now has got all the hallmarks of the Sully season in my opinion.
God! Not that bad! We have lost a few games narrowly not by 0-5 every time. We are obviously a bit short on real talent in midfield but replacing Brad was never going to be easy. A win on Tuesday and Saturday will do a lot to “Right the Ship.”

What a surprise. Witton supporters moaning for a change.
What a surprise. Witton supporters moaning for a change.
And rightly so as the PR is simply not good enough. It doesn’t take a band of volunteers to keep supporters informed. Other clubs not too far away, manage it. Where is Freddy Champion???
see the message from the Board post - this is being addressed right now, and will be finalised very soon. Can’t control the past - the future counts, so as the post says, let’s get positive
Says the person that refused to attend the Chester FA Cup game at home last season because we were allocated the away end…
Absolutely no-one is moaning, very valid questions are being asked about a good player the club announced we had signed over a month ago. If Freddy Champion is not now going to play for our club fair enough but at the very least our fans deserve to be informed.
