New signings

Carl Frost back. Good news. Chronicle mentions Wes Simpson.Surely his playing days must be near over??

Wes is only 29 years old and if he does get his fitness back then will more than prove capable of supplementing Tom & Pritch imo.

Remember also that Simon Hughes has "finally decided" to hang his boots up.

Point taken.I did not realize he was only 29.!!!
Well,
Welcome back Wes!! ;D

At a guess I would imagine that when everyone is fit, we will have quite a selection problem.

I would think we’ve got about eight midfield players to fit into three possibly four positions, depending on which formation Jim decides to use.

A very nice problem to have though.

according to Leek’s website we have signed Carl (welcome back) and Alex Brown

On the subject of players:
When is Adam Foy likely to be back playing?

Adam will be in full contention for a place he will be in full training as soon as the pre season starts, thats even more good news, things are looking very promising aren’t they

I have heard along the grape vine there are at least 7 players on contract this season, its great news as far as commitment to the club goes, but how can the club afford that many especially if they become injured and other players who come in have to be paid also. Obviously hope they dont and the commitment showed by them helps us gain promotion, CUM ON D ALBION!!!

Wise words, its a chance that the manager must take. I am sure that without the security of contracts many of our team would have moved for more money or a higher standard i.e. Liam McGuire. Just hope that the team stays injury free. heard on the same grapevine there was a players fund to help with expenses, is this true?

True liam is a loss, but i wish him all the best he is an excellent holding midfielder and will hold is own in the higher leagues. With regards to the squad this season tho i think we have a better chance of promotion, defence can only be stronger now it has been re-enforced, plus i believe Spearritt is well on his way back after his op, Pritch can only of become i little wiser still, and with the ever improving Conners, surely it is one of the strongest spines in the divison, NOT FORGETTING, mighty mike up front

Please don’t forget Jim can’t keep the squad that he wants to sustain our main aim, which is to progress into the Conference North without all your support, which means putting your hands into your pockets and putting money where your mouth is

Len, you seem to be the man in the know, is there a players fund, heard that Jim needs extra money on a weekly basis to keep the team together. I take it the budget isnt good so how much do we need and who do we need to talk to?

Oracle, If you read my posting. on Do you want Witton to Progres you will see the deatails, We need what ever people can afford, and then Jim Powell, Myself, Andy Lomas & Andy Chadwick will tell Jim Vince what we have been promised and he will then assess which players he can afford, so please feel free to contact any one of the named
I will be at the club on Thursday evening if anyone is interested

Havnt forgot Len, been doing my upmost to sell the golden draw tickets, and so far have not done to badly. Lets hope everyone else is chipping in, and trying to sell sell selll!!!
