New song for the Vics fans on here

Get a load of this… https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IgnYJrhYsj4&feature=share

That’s hilarious. They don’t even know the words to their own song :silly:

It’s good how they got their entire fan base on the video tho :woohoo:

The men with the white coats must be out of camera shot

Trickie boys, trickie boys
We’re the famous Northwich Vics
When the tax calls once again
We’ll really be in a fix…

Da da daaaaa, da da daaaaa

Playing their semi final on our pitch. They win, town turns green again and every kid in Northwich under 12 goes to Wembley. What the f*** were we thinking? They were ready to die and we gave them the kiss of life…

Wow. That’s awful

Easy to say that but in essence we Witton Albion really need the income from our asset to balance the books in the league we play in! And it’s not a big issue really as short term success does not usually last that long and certainly wont develop an army of young fans in my experience! It just means we can expect the rental income for a longer period but ultimately, we are in charge as the landlords! Football is changing and finance is even more key to survive in the long term. UTA

Possibly the most accurate and succinct post ever made on here by Chris Lowe.

‘Blind faith in your leaders or in anything will get you killed!’

I do find it strange how some of our supporters seem to be in love with V*** at the moment. However nothing surprises me these days.

I don’t see them as a threat in the slightest. 1874 Winsford on the other hand with their big move to Northwich…oh wait B)

Mmm - when did Chris Lowe last come to a home game?

If everyone who purports to support the Albion came to every game we wouldn’t need tenants, but they don’t so we do. Get over it !

I bet there are few Wittoners buzzing for this Saturday i hope you have been learning the new song!

Just on a side note, has there ever been a time when Witton haven’t been short of money? Only since i was about 6 or 7 all i have heard is ‘we have got no money’

In my defence, I live 3500 miles away but I always get to a home game when I am in Northwich. Helping the shit was stupid, regardless of how much money they give us. We’d have survived if they had died.

No Knutsfordian, I’m afraid you’re wrong. if the people running the club last season knew anything about running a business or the last 30 years of history we wouldn’t need these Tenants is the accurate description.

I’m still in disbelief and disgusted that a lot of people have worked there asses off, scrimped and saved to keep the club alive for 20 years plus since the mid 90’s debacle. Then when we had a windfall a few years ago the money got spunked away in less than 2 years WITHOUT paying what we legally owe off.

THATS WHY WE NEED TENANTS! Financial Mismanagement and Nepatism and why we now laud anyone with a paintbrush whilst slating our own!

As for V*cs they’ve got the town name, fair play to the people who have now remembered they used to support them they’ve played a blinder and the Trojan Horse strategy has paid off! JOINT OWNERS OF WP before you know it!

Money has been mismanaged in my view also and I am gutted we are where we are again, it is not the way I would have managed our windfall but we are there again! We do have a new Chairman now with no other offers for the job or to join the board even! So just as a volunteer with a paintbrush and anything else I can manage to wield for the club to do all we can to improve things. Just see the revamped social club done on an absolute shoestring budget to try and raise income further to help the cause. But the big thing is we are still struggling and withour the rental/extra income generated from having tenants then we would I am sure be relegation fodder. We are two leagues higher than both our competitors holding our own and we do own our own stadium, so it’s not too shabby but week to week is a battle.
I doubt we will ever sell even a share of our stadium to any other club, a tenant is much more preferable! and certainly not to NV or Winsford lot and as it would almost certainly demand a shareholder vote to allow this (most actives are Witton Albion fans), this it would IMO get voted down easily, that is a bridge too far and I would personally fight it tooth and nail.
So yes, still big issues and shortage of money but it’s still My club and I dont see how not watching or supporting it helps in any way shape or form. If you really care, and I know many of you do ask yourself is there anything I can do to help the club! There are some great Wittoners out there who could help the club but don’t for whatever and many reason but if You do care then consider this and get back involved and see how we can improve things, looking in from the outside will not change anything. If you particularly don’t want tenants then let’s see how we can possibly raise the funds required to go on our own again but it needs Circa £25-30 K of income just to standstill.
Do we need a special fan meeting to try and clear the air and bring some great Wittoners back into the club?

Its easy to say its the Board’s fault etc etc, but who comes forward to put their head on the block?

The bottom line is we just don’t raise enough money and whilst we are still here (thank the lordy!) finding the cash never gets any easier and making cheap shots from 3500 miles away isn’t the answer either.

If those who think they can run a business and can help the Albion then phone the chairman - I bet he doesn’t hang up on you !!

It’s dead simple. If every Witton fan who gives a shit came to the home games when they can… (I miss games through work and I know I’m not on my own) instead of just the so called big games or when the sun comes out then we wouldn’t need their money. I know there’s more than 300 Witton fans out there I’ve seen them!!

Nearly all good posts on here!

First thing I would say is that just because you don’t go to very single game, doesn’t lessen your love for the club or even deny you a say on what happens within the club. To be able to attend every game is a luxury some can’t afford, whether for distance issues, financial issues, work commitments etc.

I was born a Wittoner and will die a Wittoner and no amount of in-fighting will deter me from supporting the club in any way I can, albeit from afar, not quite 3500 miles tho

Whilst everyone has their own opinions, let’s no get distracted about our aims - the preservation and support of WAFC.

Yes, mistakes have been made in the past - how far back do you want me to go? But rather than dwelling on that, let’s pull together, learn from those mistakes and move on.

The cold fact is we need extra money to survive. We have a fantastic asset at Wincham Park and we must try to use it as much as possible. Enhancements to the Social Club have been great. Tenancy of another team is an ideal revenue source. How many teams want to share our facility? Not many. NVFC, despite all their dubious history are, as far as I am aware the only candidates - correct me if I’m wrong. So, and I don’t like it, we would be stupid to ignore them as a revenue stream. Not ideal, but what are the alternatives?

Suggestions to the Chairman.

UTA!

I agree that attending every game isn’t an option for most people, even if you live locally. Life does get in the way. That said, no matter where we live we have to face the realities of trying to raise enough money to keep this club afloat. The number of supporters watching the club seems to have dived dramatically over the past 50 years (perhaps Chad can compare attendances?) and there also seems to be fewer and fewer youngsters on the terraces.

I am not convinced that we will be here for the next 50 years

My personal view is that I would support a merged team in Northwich to help preserve non league football in mid Cheshire

A merged club? I also live a long way from the ground and would have no interest in a merged club or Mid-Cheshire football if there was a merger. I am also disgusted that we share with and have started to applaud that green and white shite. Well said Chad and Chris. I never thought I would see the day when Wittoners started to support that lot.
