Next Season

Just to get things going what do we think our chances are next season with either Hednesford or FC United still in our league and Stamford, Trafford, King’s Lynn and Skelmersdale coming up? I think it may be even harder to make the top five.
As for that other “Minor League”, the Premiership, David Moyes may have trouble keeping United in the top four with Chelsea reinvigorated by a new Manager, Liverpool improving, Arsenal a permanent threat, Spurs, if they can hang on to Bale no slouches and of course the “Noisy Neighbours”. It will be interesting to see how much effect Ferguson had on this rather ordinary bunch of players and whether Moyes can get the same out of them. (STIR, STIR, STIR!!) Have some fun with this as it is only said in fun.
WHS.

Can’t believe you didn’t mention the best team on merseyside for the last couple of years, with their new manager Davie Jones.

We finished best of the promoted teams this season, no reason why we can’t be up there challenging again!

Our old nemesis Droylsden will be back in our league along with Hinckley, I wonder how good they will be? We should fear no one but many of these teams will have a bigger financial clout than us. Hopefully our new chairman, whoever he or she is, has deep pockets!!

Yes they will have to have deep pockets when fans can’t be bothered to turn up for games!
Dave Walker rumoured to making a comeback at the put of hate that is Goodison! All local people you know that support them none from outside the city limit hah hah hah

They’ve both been poor this season and neither have a large fan base so not expecting much tbh. As for ourselves would love to be challenging for the playoffs again. Can’t wait for next season!

guarenteed a good home gate against fc utd again,{lets hope its a saturday game} droylsden and skem should bring a few as well, If we do as well as this year will have no complaints. ps are the car boots still happening anyone?

I’ll believe it when I see it! :stuck_out_tongue:

There are bound to be a couple of depatures over the summer, that’s just non-league football. However, Pritch did a great job of replacing our 2011-12 depatures, bringing in class acts such as Powelly, Big Marc Joseph and Fozzie, so I’m sure replacements would be found.

If we can keep the majority of the squad, we should be up there challenging for the play-offs again.

Any news on Big Marc Joseph btw? Does anybody know if he plans on sticking around? I certainly hope so.

Maybe a fan could ring him up and ask him :stuck_out_tongue:

Agree sustainability is the key, sponsorship, unconditional gift fine but we dont want any loans.

Even sponsorship and gift can be damaging if very generous and them suddenly withdraw generousity overnight

Strange decision to put Scarbough in 1DS

Seems as fair as they can do it to me.

Yes putting the third most northerly team in the south is fair. Should just change to west/east. If I was a Scarborough fan I’d be livid.

It appears that the powers that be have placed Scarborough in the South to boost average attendances in that division, shocking but would you expect anything else from them?

I agree with Ste here. Seems a reasonable split.

Unless you are a seadog!

I’m fairly sure they will win that league along with Darlington winning the 1DN.

Next season is going to be my first full season watching Witton and whatever happens I can’t wait! I only came along for the last third of last season but fell in love with the club!!
