Ross Clegg… will fit in very well in that league!!
Best make sure you get the bath in the changing room filled up in good time, Clegg does seem to like to get in there early!

Dorryl Proffitt & Adam Morning both played for the Albs last season too.
Yes I have seen Daryl Proffitts name mentioned also, Has Vince got you Albion fans coming up too?
Hi from sunny yorkshire been in halifax this morning but no sign of jv! must say tho there are some very tasty ladies in halifax, why would u leave gods county to live in spain ive no idea:unsure:
Daryl Proffitt is quite a skillful forward, with very good ball control. However, I thought he was one of those players who has to look down and watch what his feet are doing, and hence is not always aware of what is going on around him. He had a frequency of running up blind alleys, beating 2 or 3 players along the way.
With regards Adam Morning, I thought he was an excellent player, and felt he caused opposing defenders lots of problems. However, he was not with us long. I believe something happened in the dressing room, and J.V. got rid of him, because he had ‘an attitude’ problem.
Funny how JV is now signing players he was critical of when they were at Witton!! And that’s both attitude-wise, and ability-wise!
But i suppose he feels they are good enough at a lower standard.
Clegg, Profitt, and Morning are all decent players and Unibond Prem level, so should do well in Div 1.
the aggresive way that ross clegg plays makes him a liability in todays game. he would have been tollerated a lot more if he had played in my era of the 1970/s. dorryl proffit looked a better player coming off the bench than when he started. plenty of pace. adam morning should be playing much higher maybe he has an attitude problem. we did not see a lot of him but he reminded of a young ryan giggs.
Sorry Lads!!!
I have just read in our local the Town have signed Tony Barras, No wonder some of you guys dislike JV…
have you still got the teacups left in the kitchen?
Tony is a good player, and a nice bloke, And at your level of football he will also do very well. (if he can get his old legs working again)

Nice bloke, but at this stage of his career you’re welcome to him. Lets put it this way, I hope your other centre half is rapid, or as good as Brian Pritchard (which he won’t be) or every ball in behind your back four will be a killer…
A legend on the dancefloor!
As previously stated a cracking fella and a very experienced pro. I think whilst there would have been benefits regards stability in keeping Tony the reality is that he would probably only have started 10 to 15 games next season. Having seen Liam Coyne play on Saturday I think we have a more than able replacement who would possibly have kept Tony out of the side.
Great bloke though and wish him all the best, despite hoping that Halifax are in the bottom half of the table next season. Another inspired piece of JV coaching, he really has cast his net out wide. I wonder if Sammy has had a call yet about directing the car park traffic and whether Sprucie has been asked to drive the mower over the Pennines! He really is a scouting genius (although I also have some other words for him more suitable)!
Good luck TB, always did his best for us.
Those hills in Halifax will do for his knees though.

You’ve managed to get a very good player, albeit his legs arn’t as good as they once were. Just don’t let him take any penalties!
Best of luck Tony if you get to read this.
Well we have Matt Wooley and a guy from Staleybridge celtic called Steve Payne… all centre backs.
Have you anybody else we can have???
supporting Halifax Town now is like being a Chelsea Fan… everybody wants to join us it seems.
I can give you Albion fans directions to the Shay if you want to join us!!!
Matt Woolley plays in Midfield.
Well we might play him in defence or in goal.
And we have Neil Ross up front who once played for us before, then we have clogger Clegg. and a young keeper called Phil Senior who is ex Huddersfied and Northwich.
To be honest, of all your signings so far i would say that Senior is the best.
By a distance.
