No place for Kinsey ?

Looks like he is off to Kidsgrove ?

From what I have heard the world and his wife supposed to be goin there or Leek. Oh, by the way all you MU or Chelsea or Man City fans who are after Luka Modric. Two words come to mind, the second begins with off!!! Ha Ha SBL

I am sad to see Kinsey go, I think he was a really useful striker and there are not that many about, ask Harry Redknapp!! Modric? well if Spurs can hold on to him they will be lucky.

he was doing very well first half thne had some problem imo put a bit of weight on and never was the same player after xmas ansd he could moan for england I was hoping we could get better than him to be honest or that he got fit so let see who we get in to replace him, pre season will be intersting ill hold judgement on anyone until ive seen them play reputations and potential mean nothing at his level.

Well well CJ - I seem to remember that I got slated for my analysis of Kinsey way back in October after the 6-1 defeat at Skem. Now it seems he is not the best thing since sliced bread that everybody said he was. 21 goals inc penalties flattered him. He is 32 with dodgy ankles and we are far better off with a 19 year old that Nigel and Super Mike can mould into a decent player who just might bring us in a bob or two !

A bit cruel eli, he assisted in creating a lot of goals too and despite taking a lot of stick on here seemed to me to be a committed Wittoner when wearing the red and white stripes.

Kinsey was a natural and consistent goalscorer at every level similar to Steve Foster. He always looked committed even when moaning!!! Skilful, experienced and intelligent, I wish he was still at the club and the team will miss him!

Hopefully our new recruit from Winsford will be able to step up to this level - as we witnessed last season there is a big difference between Unibond and North West Counties football.

Very perceptive as usual Young Chad with your comment about “as we witnessed last season there is a big difference between Unibond and North West Counties football”. From what I’ve seen so far of our new signings we do perhaps need say 3 experienced players one in attack , one in midfield, and one at the back to just bolster us. I see what we are trying to do by bringing in younger hungry players but I do feel the only way if you want a top 5 finish is a mixture of youth and good experienced pros. I know Kinsey’s workrate was a bit lacking at times but he was a skilful hold up player who scored his share of goals so he’ll be missed. The biggest loss is Macca for me because to replace him in midfield is going to be very hard. As for Kearney I’m not surprised he’s gone but to VICs that really upsets me and he must be crackers if he thinks he’ll get paid every week!!
I don’t think we’ll miss Ian as much to be honest but I would like to see us sign the lad that played for Mossley last season and who I believe lives at Rudheath Graham Kay? He would be a good experienced replacement to play alongside Ben.
I just hope our new management team are working on this side of the team and will bring in several experienced players money permitting I fancy the lad at Trafford Joe Shaw?. It just shows the shortage of money up north here when someone like Steve Connors has gone to Cambridge. Even the likes of Telford, Southport, Alty etc seem to be unable to compete with the Southern teams riches. Only Fleetwood supported by theit Millionaire seem to be moving forward at the moment. Kind of relects the state of the country at the moment with us up North having naff all and them down sarff having no recession!!
WHS would probably say its down to Cammeroon and his cronies and bring back the Labour lads (Only joking WHS mate!!).
Anyway onward and upward just hope though that we can sign on 3 maybe 4 experienced lads too, and I’m sure BP,MM and Co are doing their best and this post is not a critisism just my opinion!!

Grahamm Kay has left mossely i know we were interested in him but not heard anything - maybe Curzon are looking at him with Mosselys old manaager ? probably better in the air than kierney not sure about on the ground though ?

Seem to remember someone saying “You win nothing with kids” and we know how wrong that was!! Bring on the youth I say, they will graft and get better, not something you can always say about some older players we have had in the past.

Goose signed for Curzon Ashton.

Many of you Wittoners have probably not seen one of the latest recruits Adam Bayley (Bombhead) play at Centre Half. He’s been at Winsford for the last couple odf seasons. A good athlete who never gives less than 100%. There’s no real need to worry about Ian Kierney leaving, Bombhead will make an admirable replacement. I’m looking forward to watching a partnership develop between him and Ben Harrison if all goes well it will be like watching King and Dawson! SBL

A blend of youth and experience is necessary for season 2011-2012 at Witton Albion; the likes of Ben Harrison is, of course, a great prospect, but sometimes, during the course of a season, you need more than just raw skill and youthful enthusiasm. And after all, the 1995/1996 season Manchester United team, to which the quote refers, did have a certain Eric Cantona running the show (he was top scorer that particular campaign).

Is he available?

thanks go to andy kinsey, he did a good job for us last season. good luck to him in the future.

With one of them only playing half a season?
