I have received the very sad news today that former Witton Albion defender and legend Noel Bradley passed away on 17th July at the age of 60.
Terrible news. A class act on the field and a great bloke off it.
Very bright bloke too - seem to remember he appeared on a few TV quiz shows?
I will never forget his long throws. He could get very irate (or pretend to be) if you dared suggest they were illegal (one-handed)
but he disguised them so brilliantly you were never sure!

Bummer another one of my heroes gone up to the pitch above. Noel was a smashing lad and a great player. I remember his long throws which I think were illegal but he was great at disguising it.

Very sad to hear this, Noel was one of the players in the first Witton team I ever saw at the old Central Ground. Remember him being a good defender and of course that throw in!! Also not sure if it was legal but he always seemed to get away with it.
