Gutted to have not been there but well done lads, another great result! Only Guiseley have a 100% start, looks like it’s gonna be wide open.

Another outstanding performace from the whole team. Came back from a goal down with some good passing and a brilliant finish from Mark Drew. Steve Settle again running his socks off gained a penalty which Mark Drew put away with ease.( Think we have found a real penalty taker in Mark). Must mention Greg Smith’s contribution - he is not the tallest of keepers but is brave and pulled off some smart saves again today. North Ferriby goal came from a Scott Willis wayward pass accross his own goal but he made amends with an 110% display.
This seasons team may not play the football of last seasons but there are some signs that this bunch of players are going to give it a real go,there are some real characters and if Nigel can keep this run going then who knows what we can achieve. We have to get behind them as much as we can through thick and thin, the support was tremendous today which was appreciated by the players. Nice touch from Liam Coyne ,who came over to the supporters behind the goal shook everyone’s hand and apologised for his performance( he did’nt have to because I thought he had a good game). He has obviously set a standard to play to and felt today that he had not achieved it. That to me is commitment.

MoM - Got to be Mark Drew for his 2 class finish’s.

Keep the Faith

Liam Colne had been injured in a clash in the 1st 5 mins, and struggled with chest pains during the rest of the match. He was also struggling for breath, so it says it all that he never once asked to come off, and he battled away admirably. I think it was his best game so far.

Credit to the lads they have grinded out the result to make it 7 points from a possible 9. Who would have thought that? Fantastic! I believe we will only get better the more the players gel together. Some of the movement and passing has been brilliant. What impresseses me most is the work rate of this team and the commitment, it is second to none. Well done today lads!! We expect an even tougher game monday lets hope they can keep it up!!!

Up the Albs!!

Today was a really good show of grit and determination!! we came back from 1-0 down to be 2-1 up in minutes and held on to it tight…new season…new team…new manager…a great start to the season and it can only get better as the team starts to gel…well done witton!!!

Bloody Awesome result!

A great gritty performance, but there were downsides. There was plenty of ice being put on knocks on the way home, notably Keiran’s ankle, Scott’s ankle, and as said earlier, Liam was struggling with his chest. The other big downside was the 6 bookings picked up, which doesn’t bowed well for our defence of our fair play trophy!

I believe we will be fined for 6 bookings in one game, so the points came at a cost, but it does demonstrate the guts that went into the win.

The next matches against 3 of the other 4 teams at the top of the league will give us a more clearer indication of were exactly our team is, and were exactly we need to improve.

However, a great start!
