Witton begin a run of three away games on Saturday afternoon when they make the long trip up the M62 to North Ferriby United in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Chris Bolder’s side are trying to adapt to life back in the Evo-Stik league following their relegation from the Vanarama League North at the end of last season. The campaign has been a testing one for them so far and they find themselves down in 20th position in the table after ten games. Their only league victory so far was back in August at the beginning of the season, surprisingly a comfortable 3-0 home success against current leaders and title-favourites South Shields. In the meantime, they have exited both the FA Cup and the Integro League Cup against lower-ranked opposition. The Villagers are always dangerous opponents and will provide Witton with a very difficult test as they try to climb the premier league table. Witton will go there in confident mood following their excellent performance and result last weekend against Spennymoor Town in the FA Cup and will look to push towards the top half. The two clubs haven’t met for a while with each other’s fortunes being so different in recent years. Kick off at The Chadwick Stadium is 3pm.
