Northwich Guardian

Just thought I would let you all know that because I lambasted the local paper on here I have been sacked as their theatre reviewer. As it took them all their time to print them, they prefered to print what is on TV and what is on in Liverpool and Manchester, I am not particularly bothered, though I do hope someone else will write reviews for the local groups, like Witton they need some support from what is supposed to be the LOCAL PRESS!!
WHS.

Their loss WHS. Your main job is to write in the Albion programme now - it has got a far bigger circulation than tomorrows chip paper.

I wouldn’t wipe my arse with that pathetic green rag!!!

And thats putting it mildly!!

I’ve cancelled my Direct Debit to have the Guardian delivered.

Thanks for the support, I will do my best to write good articles for you good people, but I do worry that if the press do not believe in “Freedom of Speech” who does?
WHS.

The funny part is that they didn’t pay me, I did it for free!!

[b]i used to have guardian on order down here, until a couple or three years ago.Soon cancelled it when they were only writing about them o,er the way all the time. There loss whs.c u all saturday 2nd.Its easier to see whats happening on the “Witton” website.

Gonna buy the Chronicle instead now.

Herald & Post?

The sad thing is since the demise of the Chron there is no alternative local paper to the Guardian which means that local theatre groups will not get any reviews and the poor coverage of our club will continue. Sorry, said I would not post but I thought this incident was of interest.

Strange, the guardian seem very slow this morning about covering the front page of there web site with pictures of Vics players and a match report from last nights game:laugh:

Great result for all us “Vics haters” but did you see that Harrogate had won at Garforth? Maybe Harrogate are not quite as bad as we first thought.
WHS.

Right, here we go. If you’ve been sacked WHS then ive just cancelled my subscription to NG, im also asking all Wittoners to cancel their NG and all wittoners never to buy the NG again. Sorry NG ya did it to yourself.

Thanks for the support Nick, I just feel sorry for the groups who no longer have anyone reporting on their shows.

Having just seen the headline on this article about the Albion Greats I have to wonder if Simpson really is such a poor journalist that he actually believes that 2012 will be our centenary or he does it on purpose to wind us up!

Doh !

Article about mid cheshire collage football development programme, Vics mentioned 3 times,… you guessed it, Witton none

TV previews and reviews, Manchester Theatre previews and reviews, Liverpool Theatre previews and reviews, local Theatre? Zilch. Bye Bye Birdie is on at the Harlequin now and Annie is on at the Grange Theatre in February, just thought I would mention it as the Guardian won’t. Don’t know about “Bye Bye Birdie” it should be “Goodbye Guardian”!!
WHS.

Its just the same lazy journalism that we’ve got used to from the local rag, copy and paste half of the reviews etc from other publications, rely on supporters to send in match reports because the sports editor is too bust lapping up any cock and bull story Jim Rush is feeding him to watch games and do his own work.

It would be good if he did some proper investigatory reproting and found out a bit more about the finacial dealings that are going on over there and just who these mystery investors are also why the administrators are fast losing patience with his lies…

I have recently found that my balls have changed shape…fnaar! However I find that the Guardian is poor at best in any form of investigation or effort and as a result all sport in this area suffers from it
