I’ve heard some very upsetting news about the lovable Nigel Nutt.
It seems he has been beaten up and mugged on Castle recently. The result has been a severe reaction as to how he intergrates with the public, and I believe he has gone into his shell.
The latest I heard was that he has been admitted to a care home?
Can anybody confirm this, or know any more info?

Nige is as much a part of the furniture as Pritch. Let’s hope he is back soon.
I don’t know the circumstances but it is true Nige is in a home at the moment, I was asked if permission was given by his home would he be allowed to come to games, of course I said as long as there is no health issues Nigel would be more than welcome. I think enquiries are ongoing as to the implications of picking him up and bringing him, taking him home etc.
PS let me know if you hear any news of who mugged him TT

What a world we know live in. I am not a violent person but I do think people who do such things should be given a damn good thrashing with the birch.

Can we not get a card signed off the players or a signed shirt or something to give too Nige, maybe that would cheer him up. Could we bring him out of the home too watch witton if someone promised too take care of him for the day. I think it would be the tonic he needs right now. Just a suggestion.
And a great suggestion it is joanna. I will hopefully be at the Warrington game and would be only too happy to bring Nige and take him home if someone gives me details and Nigel wants to do it.

There just aren’t the words bad enough to describe those among us who would do this! And there is absolutely no justice in this once great country of ours, if they were caught they would of course not really be to blame, it would be “a deprived/disadvantaged upbringing” “coming from a broken family”. Theres no respect for the law, or anything else among the types who would do this!
I have been thinking about this disgusting attack all weekend and I make this offer, I will pay for a shirt for Nige if the team and Mr. Ogden will sign it and if Mr. Harris sill present it to Nige before the start of the game on Bank Holiday Monday against Warrington Town. I will also bring Nige to the game and take him home. This is of course only if Nige wants to do it. As for his attacker I will gladly pull the lever if someone will put a noose around his neck!! But of course if he is caught he will be told not to be a naughty boy again and sent on his way by some liberal mainded dollard who claims to be a “judge.”

Definitely on, I will gladly take him to the game and bring him home. Mark is going to organise the signing of the shirt etc. I will order a large shirt for Nige, would that be about right, he is tallish but not that big as I recall.
