If you wish me to sign your book it may be that I will have to do it at a later date as there may not be time on the night. I will sign any and all that wish me to. and that is a promise.

Alright Agatha Christie!![/quote]

Couple of names for a book if you ever write one:

a) if you’re a Northwich V*cs fan:

“Save me Elton - We used to be a big club. Now we’re f***ed.!!!”

b) if you’re a 1874 Winsford fan:

“How to jump from a sinking ship in 10 easy steps”

Both books available for just 99p at the Drill Field (maybe not!!)

Believe me, writing a book is no easy task but ones on the futures of 1874 and Vics would be easy enough as they would be incredibly short.

If you have not ordered yet I should warn you I have just received an order from the USA!! Yes, Shawn Minnier has ordered a copy! I have over 90 orders to date and less than 150 books, so if you want a copy please order one as it is perfectly possible it will sell out quite quickly. If it does, the club will get around £1,000.

Nothing in the Guardian yet about the launch, maybe next week.
WHS.

Some people that have pre-ordered the book, and others that may wish to purchase a copy, may not come onto this website and be aware of the launch on the 25th July. Is anyone able to put a note of the launch on the official website, facebook page, twitter etc?

I no longer use them, I get into too many arguments!!
WHS.

The official website isn’t up and running at the moment due it being changed but hopefully it won’t be too long before it is sorted .

Absolutely pointless updating the official website in my opinion (two weeks before the season starts, where has the news been to the general public re promotion, season tickets, looking to the future etc???). The official website usually gives news and information on the club several months after it happened and everybody knows about it anyway!

We should develop and make this site the official clubs website. More Wittoners come on here and at least people can get some info on what they want to know at the time. I can’t believe the club is so behind the times on this if we want to grow it. Ridiculous.

We have to have an official website that is linked to the league as far as I’m aware.

If that’s the case then why have we never made a decent effort to do just that? I have not seen a decent Witton Albion official website since the internet began. I dread to think how much business we have lost because of that.

If no one within the club or associated to it has the skills to make a decent website to promote our club, like every other football club in the land seems to be able to, then we must outsource it. I would think we could get a decent official website managed and updated regularly for around £10 per month. I don’t have the skills myself but I would be prepared to make enquiries and get someone in to do it. We are seriously behind the times here it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Sadly our club has to rely mainly on volunteers so some jobs are not covered. Answer? More young volunteers

It appears I am still persona non grata with the Guardian. Despite interviewing me and taking a picture of me with the book they have chosen not to print anything about it. Maybe. I should write about Vics or 1874?

Hi Alan - 2 books please for Tuesday, CJ will pick them up for me. Thanks

No problem.
WHS.

Knutsfordian. I already have you down for one copy, do you now want 2 or 3? If everyone claims their ordered copies 100 have gone, which will mean a profit for the club of around £400, with another 50 to sell which could take the total profit to around £1,000. Many thanks to all who have ordered.
WHS.

Don’t forget that people who have pre-ordered the book, and anyone else wishing to purchase a copy, can collect them at the official book launch on Tuesday after the friendly against Burnley U’23’s. Cost is £12 which can be paid in cash or cheques payable to “Alan Lowe”.

There are going to be some very special guests in attendance, including members of the early 90’s Wembley/Conference squad, who will be available to sign the books in addition to the writer himself. Some of the current management team and board will also be there to update on players comings and goings, aims and ambitions for the season, and the future outlook for Witton Albion Football Club. It promises to be a great night.

Should be a great night, pity the local paper did not think it was worth reporting!

I’ve already ordered a copy and I’ve been asked to get a copy for a friend who’s on holiday but I won’t be able to hang around after the game so can I get them before or at half time?
