Witton’s Academy team are in action at lunchtime on Thursday as they take on Ossett United in an ESPFA North Division fixture at Dimplewells. The students began their campaign last week with a narrow defeat at Runcorn Linnets so will be looking to improve on that performance although there were positives to take from that opening defeat. The hosts kicked off their season with a 2-0 away success at Yorkshire neighbours Brighouse Town so will be hoping to follow that up with another three points but the Witton lads will be determined that doesn’t happen. The game kicks off at Dimplewells at 12pm.

Sadly, Witton’s Academy team slipped to their second defeat of the season in West Yorkshire on Thursday, as the home side preserved their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Three second half goals for the Yorkshire side overturned Albion’s half time advantage to take the points, although Witton did manage a third goal but it wasn’t enough.
