Witton Albion are very sad to report the passing of one of our supporters, Peter Williamson who sadly passed away at the age of 81, in hospital on 30th December.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peter’s family and friends.

More sad news in these very sad times, Peter was a great Wittoner and served the club in many ways for years and the club will be all the sadder for His loss RIP Peter.

I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I did have a blow up with Peter about 2/3 years ago. He made a special effort to apologise the next time I saw him. We all make mistakes, but it takes a man to apologise. After that we got on very well, and I usually had a friendly chat with him every game. I noticed he hadn’t been to any of the games this season, but wasn’t sure how to enquire about him.
Very sad to hear of his passing, as said above, he was Witton through and through

A great supporter of the club. We worked together for a couple of years on the financial side of the club, and he never let us down. Very sad to see him pass away!
